LayerZero’s native token ZRO has rallied roughly 41% over seven days to about $2.13, with Binance charts showing a move near $2.23 on Oct. 6 and a gain of about 125% from levels around $0.99 in early September. The token’s market capitalization stands near $840 million, while 24-hour spot volume was around $158 million. Weekly RSI has climbed to about 67.6 and the 4-hour RSI reached 69.10, signalling strong momentum but leaving the token close to overbought territory.
The latest leg higher has coincided with another reported open-market buyback. On-chain monitoring cited by BlockBeats indicated LayerZero purchased about 162,000 ZRO worth roughly $347,000 on Oct. 6, bringing the cumulative total to approximately 2.538 million tokens. LayerZero’s Foundation tracker currently lists 2,375,357 ZRO bought through August at a cost basis of about $3.33 million. Stargate revenue funds recurring ZRO purchases, and LayerZero Labs previously disclosed a $10 million buyback in November 2025 during a period of weak prices.
ATLAS, introduced in August, is a trading infrastructure system combining matching, clearing, settlement and risk management on LayerZero’s planned Zero blockchain. Under the announced fee model, trading venues can receive rebates of 20% to 65% depending on volume and ZRO staking. After venue rebates, 25% of remaining economics go to the market creator and 75% are allocated to buying and burning ZRO. ZRO is also intended to serve as the gas and staking asset for Zero. LayerZero has not confirmed a firm mainnet date, but market commentator Pentoshi described ZRO as having a “great weekly chart” and expects ATLAS to arrive in the coming weeks. Anchorage Digital has also selected LayerZero to connect bank-issued stablecoins such as Tether’s USAT across networks including Ethereum and Solana.
Before any push toward $3, ZRO needs to clear resistance at $2.18–$2.20, then $2.34, $2.54, $2.73 and $2.93. Support sits around $1.94–$1.95, with the upper weekly Bollinger Band near $1.84 as a deeper support area. Futures open interest was near $279 million and 24-hour derivatives volume was around $308 million, with short liquidations of about $51,000 exceeding long liquidations near $29,000 in the latest snapshot. Liquidation bands below price were clustered around $2.17–$2.19, $2.10–$2.12 and near $1.98.
The next major supply event is scheduled for Oct. 20, when about 23.63 million ZRO are set to unlock across core contributors and strategic partners, representing roughly 5.9% of circulating supply and around $50 million at current prices. Separately, addresses linked to a LayerZero strategic partner transferred 8 million ZRO worth about $14.98 million to Coinbase Prime on Oct. 3, though a transfer to Coinbase Prime does not confirm a sale. Analysts remain broadly constructive on the breakout, but a loss of the $1.94–$1.95 support area would weaken the bullish case into the unlock.
