Cardano set a new single-block throughput record on October 7, reaching 436 transactions per second after posting 345 TPS earlier the same day. The milestone measures burst capacity within one block rather than sustained network-wide throughput.
ADA traded near $0.2487 on CoinMarketCap, with a 24-hour range between $0.2457 and $0.2578. The record strengthens Cardano’s performance narrative without implying the network continuously processes 436 TPS.
The result arrives as the proof-of-stake blockchain continues its scaling push. Ouroboros Leios is expected to target around 1,000 TPS, placing the latest single-block result within a broader effort to increase capacity. Monthly network revenue reached roughly $70,000, exceeding the previous month.
The scaling agenda also connects with the Dijkstra-era roadmap, intended to prepare the network for upcoming capabilities. Alongside the milestone, RealFi launched on mainnet on October 1, the Cardano Foundation’s .ada application advanced to the next phase of ICANN’s new generic top-level domain program, Open Wallet Standard support began with version 1.4.3, and programmable token standard CIP-0113 went live on mainnet.
