Jupiter (JUP) and NEAR Protocol (NEAR) are both drawing fresh attention, but the drivers behind their latest rallies differ significantly. JUP climbed more than 14% in a single day and roughly 51% over the past month, trading near $0.37 on October 8. Its market capitalization was around $1.22 billion, with 24-hour trading volume near $179.69 million.
Much of the bullish narrative around Jupiter centers on its expanding role as a liquidity aggregator and trading infrastructure provider in the Solana ecosystem. Reported figures cited by market commentators include Jupiter Lend's total market size above $2.5 billion, annualized revenue exceeding $75 million, and $28 million in buybacks. The platform is said to operate 17 revenue-generating business verticals, with no new scheduled unlocks and net zero token emissions. These figures are reported metrics rather than audited results, but they contribute to the case that Jupiter's token may benefit from buyback demand and reduced new supply.
On the technical side, JUP is approaching a resistance zone at $0.38 to $0.40 that previously triggered a 15% pullback in one day. Daily, 12-hour, and 15-minute charts show weaker RSI momentum compared with the previous high, creating bearish divergence, while the 4-hour chart shows hidden bullish divergence. Negative funding suggests shorts are paying to hold positions, meaning a breakout could force short covering. The weekly ADX was 29.43, and the daily RSI was 68.88, near overbought levels. Liquidation heatmaps show overhead bands around $0.375 to $0.385 and $0.39 to $0.40. Analyst Nehal identified $0.69 as a conditional breakout target if JUP can hold above the structure, while immediate support sits near $0.35, $0.3274, and $0.30.
NEAR Protocol's rally, up more than 8% over two days, comes after NEAR announced that Robinhood Chain is live through near.com. The integration lets users swap ETH and USDG against more than 180 assets across over 30 chains. It also supports deposits, withdrawals, and payments to and from Robinhood Chain without manually navigating bridges or opening a new application.
In parallel, Bitwise published research describing NEAR as a settlement engine fast and cheap enough for AI-scale commerce. The report argues that more AI agents may lead to more Intents transactions, which in turn settle on NEAR. Bitwise highlighted cumulative NEAR Intents volume above $30 billion, 30-day volume above $4 billion, up 896% year over year, and 30-day revenue above $2 million, up 512% year over year. Technically, NEAR's next major test is a weekly close above the $5.50 to $6 resistance area. Support is seen at $4 to $4.60, with higher resistance zones at $7.50 to $9, $11 to $12, and $15 to $16. A loss of $4 would weaken the setup.
