The XRP Ledger’s BatchV1_1 amendment is on track to activate around October 9, 2026, provided validator support remains above the required supermajority threshold of more than 80%. The upgrade introduces atomic transaction grouping, allowing multiple ledger operations to succeed or fail as a single unit—an essential building block for atomic swaps, multi-party settlements and other complex financial workflows on XRPL.
The path to activation has been unusually bumpy. An earlier Batch version was halted after a critical logic bug in signature validation was identified by security researchers and Cantina AI on February 19, 2026. Validators later coordinated around corrected implementations, with XRPLD v3.3.0 shipping Batch V1.1 and XRPLD 3.4.1 adding a fix for a separate minor issue. In September, votes were temporarily flipped to restart the two-week activation clock so the amendment could go live alongside its associated fix.
RippleX’s Shota Natenadze said features including Permission Delegation, Dynamic MPTs, Atomic Batch, Confidential Transfers and Sponsored Fees “take XRPL from tokenizing to moving value the way institutions need.” Permission Delegation already went live on October 8. On the market side, XRP traded around $1.39, down 0.44% in 24 hours, following Thursday’s drop after Fed minutes indicated most officials expected another rate hike before year-end. XRP fell as low as $1.31 and was testing key moving averages, with support near the daily MA 200 at $1.28.
