Cardano's ADA token has flashed a short-term caution signal after its 50-period moving average crossed below the 200-period moving average on the 2-hour chart, completing a death cross. The setup follows a period of profit-taking: ADA climbed to a high of $0.283 before falling for three consecutive days to $0.224, then found support and rebounded to $0.259. At the time of writing, ADA was trading around $0.248, down 2.74% over the prior 24 hours and about 0.8% on the week.
Traders note that the death cross alone does not guarantee a deeper decline. Moving-average crossovers can produce false signals, especially in choppy or range-bound conditions. A pickup in buying volume or a sustained move back above the relevant averages could invalidate the short-term bearish setup. Key resistance is seen near $0.29, where price retreated on October 6, 2026, while support levels are expected at $0.227 and $0.213.
Separately, the Cardano Foundation is joining the University of Nicosia's Blockchain and Digital Assets course to teach Cardano fundamentals and sponsor 25 Advanced Track places.
