Algorand (ALGO) and LayerZero (ZRO) entered the new trading week on October 12, 2026 with different technical setups, but both are testing important price areas that may define their next moves.
ALGO was quoted at $0.131106, up 10.50% over 24 hours, with 24-hour trading volume near $120.3 million, according to CoinMarketCap. The token has pushed marginally above the $0.129 Fibonacci resistance reference, making $0.13 a round-number threshold rather than a supplied technical level. The reclaimed $0.129 area and the 7-day moving average at $0.1237 are now key levels for buyers trying to sustain the rebound.
ALGO’s daily relative strength index stood at 59.28, a constructive reading with room before commonly used overbought territory. Price is also above the 7-day simple moving average of $0.1237 and the 30-day simple moving average of $0.1140, offering the rally a stronger technical base. On the upside, the recent swing high at $0.1426 is the next identified resistance. On the downside, support levels are $0.1290, $0.1237 and $0.1071. A failure to defend $0.1237 would weaken the short-term breakout structure.
Algorand also reported that its Pera Wallet ecosystem exceeded one million post-quantum-resilient transactions following the introduction of native quantum accounts with the Algorand v5.0.0 upgrade. The Algorand Foundation described the milestone as a notable network data point, though it was not directly linked to the October 12 price move.
ZRO traded near $2.44 after reaching about $2.48 on the daily chart. The move placed it into the lower edge of a multi-month resistance range between $2.45 and $2.60, an area that has stopped three earlier rallies since May 2025. Daily RSI was above 75, reflecting strong but extended momentum. ZRO remains well above its 50-, 100- and 200-day moving averages, which form a deeper support cluster around $1.10 to $1.40.
For ZRO, the first Fibonacci support band sits at $2.09 to $2.15, followed by $1.85 to $1.90, $1.67 to $1.70, and $1.50 to $1.52 if selling extends. A close above the range’s upper edge near $2.60 would provide a more convincing breakout signal. Separately, the LayerZero Foundation’s buyback dashboard shows Stargate revenue-funded purchases have acquired about 2.54 million ZRO at a cumulative reported cost basis of roughly $3.68 million, including 162,433 ZRO purchased in September. Those buybacks provide demand context but do not explain any single-day price move.
Both assets are at technical decision points: ALGO is attempting to convert $0.129 to $0.13 into support, while ZRO must absorb supply inside a historically difficult range.
