KuCoin, the global cryptocurrency platform founded in 2017, has unveiled KuCoin 5.0, a comprehensive platform overhaul designed to embed trust into every layer of the user experience. Announced on October 12, 2026, from Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, the upgrade is the product expression of the company's new global brand initiative, 'Trust, Built-in.', which was launched on October 8 alongside a brand film featuring KuCoin global ambassador and major champion Adam Scott.
The initiative builds on KuCoin's long-standing 'Trust First. Trade Next.' proposition and spans six core areas: compliance, technology, asset security, user experience, AI, and wealth management. According to KuCoin, the changes are not centered on a single feature but are intended to create a more unified, efficient, and user-centered platform.
Among the user-facing updates, Profile Center 2.0 introduces a cleaner card-based layout, while the sub-account system now offers streamlined creation, stronger security controls, and improved management. Enhanced K-line charts provide more practical tools and real-time data with cross-device settings synchronization. KuCoin also added a color vision accessibility mode, citing an estimated 360 million people globally who experience some degree of difficulty distinguishing colors.
KuCoin 5.0 introduces the Unified Trading Account for eligible users at VIP1 and above, bringing spot, margin, and futures trading into a shared framework for funds, margin, and risk management. The upgrade also includes AI Assistant 5.0, which creates a unified AI entry point across market insights, Earn, trading, customer support, and campaigns. Wealth management changes include Earn access through sub-accounts, selected wealth assets within the Unified Trading Account framework, and the ability to use KCUSD as margin, reducing the need to move funds between earning and trading activities.
BC Wong, CEO of KuCoin, said: 'Trust should be something users can experience in every interaction—not only in how their assets are protected, but in how clearly, reliably and efficiently the platform works.' The company emphasized that these visible changes are supported by continued development across compliance, technology, and asset foundations.
KuCoin reports serving more than 45 million users across over 200 countries and regions, with access to more than 1,000 digital assets. The platform holds SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, ISO/IEC 27701:2019, ISO 22301:2019, and ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certifications. Recent regulatory milestones include AUSTRAC registration in Australia, a MiCA license in Europe, and progress in other markets.
