Binance to Permanently Shut Down Binance Pool and Mining Services on November 10

Key takeaways:

  • Binance Pool's closure may redistribute BTC hashrate, potentially increasing centralization among remaining large mining pools.
  • Miners should migrate before November 2026 to avoid reward disruption and compare pool fees.
  • Binance's mining exit signals strategic retreat, likely neutral for BTC but negative for miner sentiment.

Binance has confirmed it will permanently discontinue Binance Pool and related cryptocurrency mining services on November 10, 2026, at 07:00 UTC, ending support for mining connections, reward generation, Pool Savings, Cloud Mining, Transaction Accelerator, and associated APIs.

According to the official announcement shared on October 13, the closure follows an ongoing review of products and services. At the cutoff, Binance will disconnect mining equipment from its pool and disable Stratum addresses and mining endpoints. Any hashrate submitted after the deadline will not be accepted, processed, or credited toward mining rewards.

Users have been instructed to migrate their mining equipment to alternative pools before the deadline to avoid interruptions. Eligible mining shares submitted before 07:00 UTC on November 10 will remain part of the final reward calculation under existing rules. The company did not identify a replacement provider or disclose how much computing power is currently connected to Binance Pool.

Binance also set deadlines for account settlement. Customers holding active Pool Savings positions are asked to complete redemptions or cancellations before November 10. Users needing identity verification must finish these steps by 23:59 UTC on November 10 to facilitate timely payment processing. Eligible unpaid mining rewards and refunds will continue to be processed after closure, subject to product terms, account status, risk controls, compliance reviews and applicable laws.

Historical mining records and related pages will remain accessible for 14 days after closure, until November 24, 2026, at 07:00 UTC, after which Binance will permanently close those pages.

Binance launched its mining pool in April 2020, initially offering Bitcoin mining services. Over time it added a $500 million lending initiative for Bitcoin miners in October 2022, Bitcoin Ordinals inscription services in August 2023, and Fractal Bitcoin merged mining support in November 2024. More recently, in September 2026, Binance Pool ended support for USDP as part of a separate stablecoin delisting schedule.

The shutdown comes as major mining operators including Foundry, AntPool, F2Pool, SpiderPool, MARA Pool, Block Inc. and DMND work on the Stratum V2 upgrade. Binance has not linked its decision to Stratum V2, changing network conditions, or competition.
