Binance announced on October 14 that it will delist Epic Chain (EPIC) and QuickSwap (QUICK) following a periodic review of listed digital assets. All spot trading pairs involving the two tokens will close at 03:00 UTC on October 28, while several derivatives, margin and related services will be halted earlier.
The decision hit prices immediately. QuickSwap traded around $0.008169, down 19.67% over 24 hours, with a market capitalization near $5.37 million and daily volume of roughly $1.47 million. Epic Chain fell 10.54% to about $0.4001, with a market capitalization around $13.48 million and daily volume near $10 million. Intraday data showed QUICK initially dropping about 10% after the notice before settling lower, while EPIC briefly recovered above its pre-announcement level before finishing the 24-hour period lower.
Binance did not identify a specific violation for either asset, but said both no longer met its listing standards. The exchange evaluates factors including liquidity, trading volume, development activity, network security, project team commitment, regulatory compliance, token supply changes and communication with tokenholders. Both tokens had carried Binance’s Monitoring Tag since spring: QUICK since April 30 and EPIC since May 22.
The removal process begins before the spot deadline. On October 15, Binance will stop supporting the tokens in its Buy & Sell Crypto service at 03:00 UTC, and margin borrowing will be suspended at 06:00 UTC. On October 20, Binance Pool and Binance Pay support ends at 03:00 UTC; VIP Loan and Flexible Loan positions close at 07:00 UTC; futures opening restrictions begin at 08:30 UTC; and remaining futures contracts are automatically settled at 09:00 UTC. Margin services are scheduled for removal at 10:00 UTC. Spot Copy Trading and Simple Earn support end on October 21.
Spot trading pairs close at 03:00 UTC on October 28, with outstanding orders automatically cancelled. Deposits stop being credited after 03:00 UTC on October 29. Users can withdraw EPIC and QUICK until 03:00 UTC on December 28. After that deadline, Binance said it may convert remaining balances into stablecoins, but emphasized that conversion is not guaranteed.
