Global Dollar Network’s USDG stablecoin has expanded across six networks using LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token standard, reaching a $3.1 billion market capitalization in October 2026 and surpassing $3.9 billion in cumulative cross-chain transfers by September. Paxos issues USDG under regulatory supervision in Singapore and Europe, maintaining 1:1 redeemability for U.S. dollars and retaining control of smart contracts, security verifiers, transfer limits, and compliance restrictions.
LayerZero said the OFT standard’s burn-and-mint mechanism removes the need for wrapped assets and allows native issuance on Ethereum, Solana, Ink, X Layer, and Robinhood Chain, plus an omnichain extension called USDG0 on Hyperliquid. Transfers to Robinhood Chain exceeded $500 million in the first two months after that network launched in July 2026. LayerZero also stated its OFT standard handled 87% of dollar-denominated cross-chain transfer volume in 2026.
Meanwhile, Arbitrum has launched a Stablecoin Growth Program to encourage applications to adopt USDG as their primary stablecoin. The initiative targets apps with at least $1 million in stablecoin balances and offers performance-based incentives. A $2 million ARB prize pool will reward the first ten teams that reach $10 million in USDG total value locked. Although USDG currently reports no 24-hour trading volume on Arbitrum, the program aims to boost liquidity, DeFi engagement, and long-term stablecoin adoption across the network.
