Grayscale has partnered with investment platform Republic to offer three digital asset products with a minimum commitment of $2,500. The initial lineup includes the Grayscale DeFi Fund, Grayscale Decentralized AI Fund and Grayscale Data Network Trust, giving eligible participants exposure to baskets of DeFi protocols, blockchain-based AI infrastructure and onchain data infrastructure without directly buying, storing, or safeguarding the underlying tokens.
Republic co-CEO Andrew Durgee said: "Republic's mission focuses on digital assets and investor access." He added that the partnership gives Republic users access early in the funds' life cycles, a stage traditionally limited to institutional investors, with a "minimum investment of just $2,500." Grayscale CEO Peter Mintzberg highlighted DeFi, decentralized AI and onchain data infrastructure as some of the most compelling opportunities in the digital asset economy.
The Grayscale DeFi Fund is a market-cap-weighted basket that currently holds Uniswap (UNI), Aave (AAVE), Ondo (ONDO), Ethena (ENA), Curve (CRV) and Lido DAO (LDO). As of Aug. 3, Grayscale's disclosed allocations placed UNI at 34.16%, ONDO at 25.44% and AAVE at 19.97%, with ENA, CRV and LDO making up the remainder. The fund reached its current composition after Grayscale removed Aerodrome Finance's AERO token and added Ethena during its first-quarter review, and later reduced its UNI position in August.
The Decentralized AI Fund holds NEAR Protocol (NEAR), Bittensor (TAO), Render (RENDER) and Filecoin (FIL), with NEAR as the largest position at 31.35% in the August allocation report. The Data Network Trust provides single-asset exposure to DATA, the native token of a blockchain designed to source, verify and license information used to train AI models, while recording data origins and compensation terms onchain. A Sept. 24 SEC filing identifies the issuer as Grayscale Data Network Trust (DATA), a Delaware business trust formed in 2025, with a first-sale date of July 28, 2025.
