A wave of U.S. inflation worries and Federal Reserve rate fears has put risk-sensitive assets under pressure, with analyst Danny_Crypton citing a reported $650 billion decline in U.S. stock market value. Higher interest-rate expectations tend to reduce demand for volatile assets, and crypto traders are watching whether the sell-off spills into digital assets.
Against that backdrop, several altcoins are in focus. Solana (SOL) has rebuilt confidence after the FTX collapse, recovering from below $10 in 2022 to above $100. Its fast transactions and low fees continue to attract DeFi, NFT, gaming and consumer applications, and continued adoption could support a run toward the $300–$400 range in a favorable cycle.
Polygon (POL), formerly MATIC, is now positioned as a key Ethereum scaling network. Its zkEVM technology and enterprise partnerships provide real-world utility, making it a potential beneficiary of further Ethereum ecosystem growth. Arbitrum (ARB) remains a leading Ethereum Layer 2 network with deep liquidity and strong DeFi activity; analysts see a possible 3x to 5x gain over a full market cycle if adoption keeps climbing.
Macro-sensitive Layer 1 networks Aptos (APT) and Sui (SUI) are also drawing attention because their price action may depend on liquidity, risk appetite and developer activity. Traders have separately flagged Sei (SEI), NEAR Protocol (NEAR) and Hedera (HBAR) as altcoins that may react differently to inflation data, Fed policy expectations and trading volume.
Key signals to watch include inflation reports, Federal Reserve statements, Treasury yields and the U.S. dollar. A recovery in risk appetite could support altcoin prices, but persistent uncertainty may keep sellers active in the short term.
