Liquid Apes NFT Collection to Launch Following ApeFest 2026

Key takeaways:

  • Liquid Apes' $118 locked liquidity per NFT may cushion post-mint downside versus typical PFP drops.
  • Dollar-denominated redemption pools differentiate Liquid Apes, but unproven execution risk remains high.
  • Watch ETH mint dynamics and parody whitelist conversion for early demand signals on Liquid Apes.

The Liquid Apes NFT collection, comprising 10,000 original hand-drawn NFTs, will begin its whitelist mint on October 21, 2026, with public access opening on October 22, 2026. The launch is deliberately timed to follow ApeFest 2026, placing the project within renewed discussions about liquidity and long-term value in the NFT market.

The project draws on the original Bored Ape Yacht Club launch by adopting a 10,000 supply and an initial mint price of 0.08 ETH, which the team describes as recognition of BAYC’s influence rather than an attempt to replicate it. The fixed mint price is $236, with $118 locked directly into each Liquid Ape. It is supported by an international team including Nathan Hill, CEO of the CMC Group of Companies, whose portfolio includes The Crypto Magazine and the award-winning Liquid NFTs marketplace.

In September, the team placed a free parody collection called NOT THE LIQUID APES on OpenSea, with 9,000 NFTs offering nothing and 1,000 granting whitelist opportunities. The underlying Liquid NFTs marketplace uses individual pools of dollar-denominated liquidity, giving holders a redemption mechanism independent of a secondary buyer. Liquid NFTs has received two European Global Business Awards for Web3 liquidity innovation and next-generation NFT infrastructure.

Nathan Hill said: “Bored Ape Yacht Club brought Ape focused NFTs into mainstream consciousness, and that deserves recognition. We chose the same original supply and mint price as a nod to that history, but Liquid Apes is built around a different economic proposition.”

Whitelist applications close at 12:00 UTC on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. The whitelist mint opens at 18:00 UTC on Wednesday, October 21, and the public mint opens at 18:00 UTC on Thursday, October 22.
