Circle minted approximately $750 million in USDC on the Solana blockchain within a single 24-hour period, a move highlighted by crypto market commentator @SolanaFloor on Oct. 15. The issuance underscores Solana’s expanding role in the stablecoin ecosystem and comes as the network recently surpassed 420 million transactions in the month.
The minting is not an isolated sign of stablecoin momentum. On Oct. 16, BitGo’s analysis showed stablecoin transaction volumes are rising even though total stablecoin supply has remained flat for months. That divergence suggests the same stablecoin liquidity is being used more frequently for payments, remittances, and trading. BitGo emphasized that measuring genuine activity requires filtering out bot transactions and exchange flows, because raw volume can distort real usage.
For the broader crypto market, the combination of increased USDC issuance and higher stablecoin transaction frequency may support liquidity and adoption. Traders are likely to watch whether rising USDC circulation and activity on Solana feed into stronger market depth and stablecoin integrations across trading platforms.
