A fresh round of crypto price analysis from Oct. 16–17 shows bearish pressure building across several major altcoins, with key support levels under threat and buyers attempting to defend critical zones. Ethereum, XRP, Cardano, BNB, Hyperliquid, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu and Uniswap are all at important technical crossroads.
Ethereum (ETH) briefly broke below the $2,400 support before buyers pushed it back, and the weekly close remained similar to the prior week. The correction has halted bullish momentum and could be transitioning into a bearish trend. A second analysis puts ETH at $2,455, just below resistance near $2,490, with a strong support zone between $2,310 and $2,355 that also includes the 200-day moving average. A daily close above $2,490 would open the path toward $2,600 and possibly $2,700, while a close below $2,310 could trigger a slide toward $2,100 or even $2,000.
XRP closed 3% lower and is quickly approaching the $1.30 support. Repeated tests of this level are being interpreted as bearish, and if sellers break below it, $1.30 could flip into resistance and open the way to the psychological $1.00 level. Until $1.30 breaks, however, the situation can still go either way, though sentiment currently leans bearish.
Cardano (ADA) also closed 3% lower and is struggling to hold the $0.23 support. With bearish momentum intensifying, a break below $0.23 is likely, putting the next key target at $0.20. Buyers may scout entries there, but sellers could attempt to push even lower before exhaustion. Binance Coin (BNB) was flat but appears on a collision course with support at $690. A test is expected in the coming days; a failure to hold could turn the chart bearish and open a move toward $600 if BTC and ETH remain weak.
Hyperliquid (HYPE) lost 5% on the week, making it the worst performer among the first set of coins. Sellers have dominated since resistance at $97, and HYPE is now close to support at $76. Losing $76 would put the token in a deep correction and make new all-time highs before year-end unlikely; a bounce could retest $97. Uniswap (UNI) is stuck between $6.80 and $7.85 after falling about 30% from its peak near $10.90. A close above $7.85 is needed to turn bullish, while a close below $6.80 could open a fast move toward $6.25.
Dogecoin (DOGE) is fighting to hold $0.0800 after a rejection near $0.1060 in late September. The coin’s high-volume bounce from about $0.0777 was encouraging, but price remains below key moving averages. Buyers must defend $0.0800; resistance sits near $0.0860, with a close above $0.0925 needed to confirm a trend change. Shiba Inu (SHIB) is trying to reclaim $0.00000500 and trades near $0.00000514. The $0.00000500 level is critical to keep its pattern of higher lows alive, and resistance is at $0.00000528. A break below could target $0.00000483 and $0.00000475.
