Evernorth Holdings has become a focal point for institutional XRP exposure after making its Nasdaq debut under the ticker XRPN. The company holds approximately 473 million XRP and secured about $300 million in gross cash proceeds. Its stock opened around $16.70, briefly jumped to $19.40, then eased below $17 on its first trading day and closed the week near $15.45 as broader markets corrected.
The treasury strategy is designed to give traditional investors exposure without directly managing crypto wallets or custody. Evernorth named Ripple, Coinbase, Kraken and BitGo as initial institutional execution partners, with deployment expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. Citigroup Global Markets served as sole private placement agent and capital-markets adviser. Reported treasury contributions include roughly 211.32 million XRP from Arrington XRP Capital, 126.79 million XRP from Ripple and 50 million XRP from another Ripple investor, with the remainder from smaller contributions and cash-funded purchases.
Evernorth’s plans extend beyond holding XRP as a reserve asset. It is exploring yield, lending, liquidity and treasury management. Two XRP Ledger proposals, XLS-65 Single Asset Vaults and XLS-66 Lending Protocol, could support those strategies. On October 15 they had 21 and 19 supporting validator votes respectively out of 35. The lending design would pair allocated XRP with approved borrowers, with credit managers handling underwriting and borrowers paying principal and interest.
The ecosystem also includes Doppler Finance, which reported more than 14,000 depositors and over $150 million deposited into XRP and RLUSD vaults. Its relationships include Bybit, Bitget Wallet, SBI Ripple Asia and SBI Digital Finance. OpenEden is adding tokenized Treasury products such as TBILL and USDO, while Ondo Finance is bringing its OUSG tokenized Treasury product to the XRP Ledger. OUSG’s backing structure includes BlackRock’s BUIDL, and the initiative supports RLUSD creation and redemption.
Ripple’s institutional push also advanced through other channels. Standard Chartered announced on October 12 that it is launching institutional custody for RLUSD on the XRP Ledger through its DIFC branch in Dubai, and it is working with Ripple and LMAX Group on potential use of RLUSD as collateral for selected institutional trading products. Cross River Bank said on October 16 that it would integrate RLUSD and XRP Ledger settlement into its banking infrastructure, allowing eligible businesses to move between dollars and RLUSD, process cross-border payments and manage treasury transfers through a single API. Ripple Prime separately launched 24/7 real-world asset perpetual swaps covering stocks, ETFs, commodities, currencies and other traditional assets.
Despite the institutional activity, XRP struggled. It was rejected near $1.40, fell to $1.30, rebounded to $1.38, then dived to a monthly low around $1.27. Analysts pointed to $1.25 as a possible buying zone and $1.42 to $1.60 as recovery levels. Longer-term bullish scenarios require a breakout through $3.67, with Fibonacci-style targets at $5.25, $6.33, $8.28 and $13.69.
Treasury growth scenarios illustrate the potential impact on per-share XRP exposure. Starting from 473 million tokens, annual growth of 1%, 3% and 5% would add about 4.73 million, 14.19 million and 23.65 million XRP respectively. The key measure is whether XRP holdings grow faster than Evernorth’s outstanding shares and operating costs, but actual returns depend on adoption, borrower quality, financing costs and broader market conditions.
