Ethereum has tightened its grip on the stablecoin market, holding 54.1% of a total $300.3 billion stablecoin supply across 47 blockchains, according to data published on October 19, 2026. That share equals $162.5 billion in stablecoin value on Ethereum, reinforcing its role as the primary settlement layer for dollar-pegged and euro-pegged crypto liquidity.
The same dataset places Tron second with $94.1 billion, or 31.4% of the stablecoin market, while Solana accounts for 4.8% and is flagged as an emerging competitor. The figures arrived as Tether and other issuers continue to adapt to shifting regulatory conditions, and as traders assess liquidity across decentralized finance platforms.
Separately, euro stablecoin market capitalization on Ethereum expanded by $9.1 million over the past week, according to token terminal data cited in a social post. Arc added $2 million, and Arbitrum One increased by $130,500. In contrast, stablecoin market caps on Stellar, Algorand, and Polygon declined during the same period, underscoring uneven demand across networks.
The broader market remains mixed, but the stablecoin sector continues to show resilience. Ethereum's leadership suggests it remains central to stablecoin issuance, DeFi transactions, and overall crypto liquidity, while competition from Tron and Solana may influence future market share shifts.
