Token Terminal reported that the tokenized commodity market capitalization has surged to $8.1 billion, up 120.5% year-to-date as of October 20, 2026. Tether Gold (XAUT) leads with a $3.1 billion market cap, followed by JMWH at $2.2 billion and Paxos Gold (PAXG) at $1.8 billion. Together, these top tokenized commodity assets represent around 60% of the total market, underscoring growing demand for asset-backed tokens as investors seek stability amid volatile traditional markets.
In a related update, Token Terminal also highlighted that Strategy’s tokenized common and preferred stock reached an onchain market cap of $473.4 million. The leading Strategy stock tokens are STRCx with $146.7 million and MSTRx with $114.1 million. Tokenized Tesla and SpaceX stocks now account for $403.2 million onchain. These figures point to a broader tokenization trend that is bringing traditional equities and commodities onto blockchain rails with greater transparency and liquidity.
Although the wider crypto market is showing mixed signals, the expansion in tokenized real-world assets is a notable bright spot. Traders are watching whether continued growth in this segment will correlate with Bitcoin dominance and influence broader market liquidity and investor sentiment.
