NEXO Token Goes Live on Kraken With USD, USDT and USDC Pairs

Key takeaways:

  • Kraken's NEXO listing may boost liquidity; without volume projections, organic demand is the key test.
  • NEXO's external trading may decouple price from utility, risking divergence from platform usage.
  • Exchange listings often spark short-term hype; monitor NEXO/USD volume and spread for genuine liquidity signals.

Kraken has officially listed NEXO, the native token of digital asset wealth platform Nexo, with trading opening on October 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM UTC. The token is now available on both Kraken and Kraken Pro across three trading pairs: NEXO/USD, NEXO/USDT, and NEXO/USDC.

Nexo described the listing as an access milestone for its token. Yasen Yankov, Chief Product Officer at Nexo, said: “Kraken adds another established venue for our native NEXO Token and brings it to a broad base of consumer and professional traders.” The direct USD pair supports fiat-based traders, while the USDT and USDC pairs allow users to remain within stablecoin markets.

NEXO launched in 2018 and is central to Nexo’s loyalty program, where eligible holders can access benefits including lower borrowing rates and fee-free transfers. The listing does not change the token’s utility or introduce new features; instead, it adds an external marketplace where the token can trade independently of the Nexo platform. Nexo reports more than $465 billion processed across the group since inception and serves clients in over 200 jurisdictions.

Although a listing on a major exchange can support visibility, liquidity and price discovery, the announcement did not include volume or liquidity projections. Trading activity and sustained demand will depend on broader market conditions and investor interest in the weeks ahead.
