Key takeaways:

  • PI's summit hype may struggle to offset weak technicals and a 13.9% monthly decline.
  • Developers and 60M Pioneers are an adoption lever, but undisclosed hackathon terms limit catalyst clarity.
  • Watch $0.078 support and RSI near 38; a break could extend PI's bearish sentiment.

Pi Network has officially announced its first Ecosystem Summit, an online event scheduled for November 17–19, 2026, as its native PI token continues to trade under pressure below $0.08. The three-day summit will focus on developer tools, application showcases, platform announcements, and an upcoming hackathon, according to the project’s October 15 announcement.

The event is designed to connect the Pi Core Team with developers and application operators, with sessions covering technical demonstrations, community support, and payment integration. Pi Network says developers will be able to reach an audience of more than 60 million engaged Pioneers, and the project reports over 300 Mainnet applications, more than 420,000 nodes, and 18.1 million fully KYC-verified users.

Although hackathon rules, prizes, and registration details remain undisclosed, organizers plan to reveal more information during the summit. The company has also expanded AI-related development tools, including Pi App Studio support for externally created AI applications, improvements to the SoloHost platform for self-hosted AI software, and updated developer documentation.

In addition, Pi set October 13 as a deadline for node operators to install Protocol 28 software ahead of a planned October 16 Mainnet activation. That upgrade was intended to improve delayed transaction handling and permit grouped smart contract updates, though successful activation was not independently established.

As for price action, PI traded near $0.07873 on October 22, down about 1% over 24 hours and roughly 13.9% over the past month. Daily trading volume was approximately $3.23 million, with market capitalization around $888.2 million based on a reported circulating supply of 11.28 billion PI. Technical indicators show weakness: the Chaikin Money Flow was at -0.09, Bull Bear Power at -0.00229, and the Relative Strength Index at 37.97. Nearby support sits near $0.078 and $0.075, while resistance is around $0.082 and $0.090.

Pi Network has also pointed to stablecoin exploration through a partnership with Open Standard, the group behind OUSD, to examine rewards and possible stablecoin services. However, no OUSD Mainnet launch date, reward amounts, or mechanism requiring stablecoin users to purchase PI has been confirmed. The project stressed that PI would remain the primary cryptocurrency used across its network.
