Tokenized U.S. equities are expanding on Solana as both Backpack Securities and Securitize announced new access points for blockchain-based stock exposure. On October 23, Backpack Securities said Apple’s $AAPL went live on Solana through the Sunrise platform, describing the move as a way to attract traders and developers to the network.
Securitize confirmed a broader launch: 12 tokenized equities, including Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Tesla, Meta, Amazon, Netflix, Circle, SpaceX, Strategy and Palantir, are now available on Solana for eligible investors. The company first announced Securitize Stocks on October 8 and reaffirmed availability on October 23. Each token represents a security entitlement backed 1:1 by an underlying share held in a segregated account. Securitize says the shares are never lent out.
Eligible customers in the U.S., the EU and other permitted jurisdictions can buy the tokens using USDC and hold them in approved Solana wallets. Trading is currently available five days a week, around the clock, with seven-day trading described as a planned feature. The offering is provided through Securitize Markets, LLC in the U.S. and Securitize Europe Brokerage and Markets, S.A. in the EU. Jump Trading was named as a market maker supporting the initial Solana launch.
Securitize notes that token holders hold security entitlements through an intermediary, and converting positions under applicable arrangements is required to become registered shareholders. Dividend payments and shareholder voting may be available subject to product terms and withholding rules, while the underlying companies have not sponsored or endorsed the tokenized products. The announcements generated social engagement, though Solana trading volume data remained unavailable at the time of reporting, suggesting the market was still digesting the news.
