Pudgy Penguins’ native token PENGU has returned to traders’ watchlists after a near 9% surge that followed its listing on the US financial platform SoFi. The token, which became tradable for SoFi customers on October 21, 2026, is now testing levels that could determine whether the bounce turns into a broader recovery or another rejection.
The rally came after months of selling pressure that pushed PENGU from around $0.0112 down to the $0.00706 area. Buyers repeatedly defended that lower support zone, helping stabilize sentiment. Renewed interest tied to the SoFi listing then lifted the price toward the $0.00807 level and brought the $0.0085 resistance zone into focus.
According to liquidation data, a large cluster of leveraged positions sits between $0.00830 and $0.00835. A move above that band could squeeze short sellers and accelerate gains toward $0.00850 and beyond. On the downside, another liquidation cluster between $0.00790 and $0.00795 could trigger long liquidations if buyers lose control, potentially dragging PENGU toward $0.00780 or lower.
Technical indicators reflect uncertainty. On the daily chart, PENGU is trading near $0.00744 after slipping below the lower boundary of an ascending channel that has held since August. The relative strength index sits at 39.48, below neutral but above oversold levels, while the MACD remains negative, suggesting sellers still control short-term momentum. Support is seen around $0.0070 and then between $0.0060 and $0.0065, while a failure there could expose the $0.0050 area.
Analyst Ali Martinez has pointed to a TD Sequential buy signal, suggesting a possible short-term recovery toward $0.013. Trader Altcoin Sherpa described PENGU as not a fast trade but a decent slow cook, citing its large community and steady stream of product releases. Pudgy Penguins has expanded beyond its NFT origins through partnerships with NASCAR, Lufthansa’s Miles & More program, and PEZ.
DefiLlama data puts PENGU’s market capitalization at roughly $460 million, with a 24-hour trading volume of about $77.6 million. Approximately 62.86 billion tokens are circulating out of a maximum supply of 88.89 billion, meaning sustained demand will be important for any long-term repricing. The token remains about 89% below its all-time high of $0.06845. A confirmed weekly breakout with stronger volume could support a move toward the $0.012 to $0.015 range, but PENGU must first reclaim $0.0082 and then clear the $0.0105–$0.0110 zone that has rejected multiple recovery attempts. DappRadar’s model projects an average 2027 price near €0.00795, while more bullish scenarios of $0.020–$0.030 would require roughly 303% upside from current levels.
