Following the security breach at Binance on October 29, 2026, the Allora Network has successfully frozen all ALLO tokens stolen in the attack and has begun the process of returning them to the exchange. The project confirmed via a statement on X that its own network and the ALLO token contract remain fully secure, and that ALLO held outside Binance was not affected by the incident.
Upon identifying the stolen tokens, Allora activated an emergency protection mechanism within the ALLO smart contract, which effectively eliminated the attacker's ability to transfer, sell, or otherwise use the stolen assets. The team clarified that none of the stolen ALLO had been moved or sold prior to the freeze.
Allora stated that the recovery process is ongoing and will not alter the total supply of ALLO. The team also warned users that any messages requesting them to send tokens or connect wallets do not originate from the project. The completion of the recovery process has not yet been announced, but further updates will be provided when the return to Binance is finalized.
The incident underscores the importance of on-chain security measures and emergency safeguards, as Allora was able to mitigate potential market impact by preventing the stolen tokens from entering circulation.
