Elon Musk has weighed in on the cyberattack targeting Binance, posting on X that “Every day is zeroday.” The Tesla founder’s comment came after reports circulated about major fund outflows from the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange.
Musk also reposted an article from The Kobeissi Letter, a financial markets analysis account, which claimed that approximately $5.7 billion flowed out of Binance following the attack. The Kobeissi Letter described the incident as the largest cyberattack in cryptocurrency history.
In cybersecurity, a zero-day vulnerability is one that attackers exploit before developers can release a fix, leaving platforms exposed. Musk’s wording was widely interpreted as a warning about persistent security threats facing digital platforms.
However, it has not been confirmed that the entire $5.7 billion in outflows was stolen. Exchange outflows can also reflect users moving funds to private wallets or rival platforms. Uncertainty remains over the exact financial damage, even as security concerns dominate the discussion.
