Panama City-based digital asset exchange Bitbase launched ORIGIN on November 4, 2026, the first season of its new Bitbase Points program. The initiative is designed to reward sustained user participation over time rather than one-off bursts of activity.
The season runs for 26 weeks, ending on May 4, 2027, with 1,000,000 points distributed each week. Points are allocated daily according to each participant's contribution, which is drawn from four sources: trading, assets held on Bitbase, consistent activity, and referrals. Consistent activity is tracked as a separate source, meaning steady participation from day to day adds to a user's total contribution.
All eligible users, whether new or already active on Bitbase, are enrolled automatically. Referrers receive an additional 25% of the contribution of each new user they directly refer, while the referred user's own points remain unaffected. Existing users were credited points before the season began based on their earlier platform activity, allowing their prior engagement to count from day one.
Participants will also receive a shareable Trading Identity card summarizing their trading style, with the first cards issued on November 9 and new cards following every Monday for the remainder of the season. ORIGIN is the first program under Bitbase 2.0, the exchange's upgraded brand, app, and website introduced on November 2 under the statement “Market Flows. We Focus.”
“We designed ORIGIN for users who participate consistently, not only during the busiest periods in the market,” said Nicholas Lo, Chief Business Officer at Bitbase. “Over a six-month season, that consistency carries weight. Our responsibility is to make sure every contribution is credited, from the first day of the season to the last.”
