Ripple CTO Emeritus David Schwartz is taking a stricter approach to what he describes as off-topic crypto replies that disrupt conversations on X. In posts dated November 7 and 8, Schwartz said accounts that follow his activity to respond to unrelated threads with praise for XRP or accusations of fraud will be blocked, regardless of whether the reply is positive or negative.
Schwartz explained that such replies often appear on conversations that have nothing to do with cryptocurrency. They can reach the followers of the other participants, and some of those users end up blocking him as a result. He said he does not object to criticism or accusations when they contain real points and are posted in a relevant place, such as his own threads. He also offered to unblock anyone who promises to stop, even if they say they absolutely hate him.
The Ripple CTO backed a community suggestion for a weekly thread where new XRPL projects could introduce themselves. He opened a thread inviting builders to promote their XRP and XRP Ledger projects, while also welcoming posts about other crypto projects and non-crypto ventures.
At the same time, social media mood around XRP has weakened. Crypto analyst Ali Martinez said sentiment toward the token is at its lowest level since July, while XRP trades near $1.19 after dropping more than 7% earlier in the week. Martinez noted that the bearish crowd may not be a bad sign, pointing to a possible inverse head-and-shoulders pattern. He previously placed the neckline at $1.60, with a break above that level pointing toward $2.10. XRP remains below $1.60, so the setup remains unconfirmed.
The broader picture is mixed: the chart pattern has not been confirmed, and sentiment can turn quickly. Schwartz, for his part, is trying to keep his replies useful rather than flooded with spam.
