Metaplanet has made a significant investment by purchasing 156 BTC for $13.4 million at $85,590 per Bitcoin, achieving a year-to-date yield of 31.8%. As of March 3, the company holds a total of 2,391 BTC valued at $196.3 million, with an average acquisition price of $82,100 per Bitcoin. CEO Simon Gerovich revealed that Metaplanet has received formal invitations from the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq to present their platforms, indicating plans to enhance accessibility for global investors. The company has already reported a gain of approximately $21.3 million from its Bitcoin strategy, while its shares surged 20% in the market, reaching 4,010 yen. Metaplanet is now the second publicly traded company to announce a significant Bitcoin purchase, following Bitdeer Technologies.
