Pump.fun Restores Livestreaming with Robust Moderation to Enhance User Trust

Pump.fun, a Solana-based token launchpad, has reinstated its livestreaming functionality after a suspension that began in November 2024. The relaunch comes with a newly implemented set of moderation rules and enforcement mechanisms designed to curb previous misuse associated with the feature. Earlier, livestreaming played a pivotal role for memecoin creators, enabling real-time interaction with investors; however, it also led to incidents involving dangerous stunts and policy violations. After a controlled rollout to 5% of users on April 4 for testing purposes, Pump.fun now offers the feature to all users backed by an upgraded moderation framework that includes both human oversight and automated detection systems. The updated policy strictly prohibits content like graphic violence, harassment, and any material promoting illegal activities or endangering vulnerable groups. This strategic move aims to balance freedom of expression with the maintenance of community safety and regulatory compliance, ensuring a safer environment for both content creators and users. Future modifications to the policy will be driven by continuous feedback from users, moderators, and policy experts.
