VeChain, a layer-1 blockchain focused on real-world applications, has announced the appointment of UFC CEO Dana White as its newest official adviser. White, also the founder of Power Slap, will join VeChain’s advisory board alongside Nobel Prize-winning physicist Konstantin Novoselov. His role is expected to leverage his mass marketing expertise to boost the mainstream awareness of blockchain technology and to amplify initiatives like VeChain’s sustainability platform, VeBetterDAO. The announcement also highlighted VeChain's current application of its technology in UFC contexts, such as integrating NFC chips in fighter gloves to combat fraud in charity auctions. Additionally, further discussions are underway between the UFC, the UFC Foundation, and other partners to expand the VeChain and VeBetter ecosystem, with more details expected in the coming weeks. White will not receive any B3TR or VET tokens as part of his compensation, underscoring a focus on strategic advisory over immediate material rewards.
