Bybit Leaks PUMP Token Sale Details, Excludes European Investors Under MiCA Rules

Bybit accidentally revealed details of the upcoming Pump.fun PUMP token sale via its Ukrainian Telegram channel before promptly deleting the announcement. According to screenshots and confirmation from Bybit ambassador Andriy, the sale will run from July 12-15, 2025, offering 150 billion tokens at $0.004 per PUMP with a maximum purchase limit of $500,000.

The exchange explicitly excluded European investors from participating, citing compliance with the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulations. This follows Bybit's strategic separation of its global platform from its MiCA-compliant Bybit.eu entity. Accepted currencies include USDT, USDC, SOL, and bbSOL, with token distribution occurring within 48 hours post-sale.

This marks the second exchange leak after Gate.io prematurely published similar sale details earlier in the week. The regulatory exclusion occurs amid reports that Pump.fun's trading volume has declined 75-80% throughout 2023, indicating waning platform engagement. Notably, Pump.fun already restricts UK users following FCA warnings.
