Aave has launched its protocol on the Aptos blockchain, marking its first-ever deployment outside the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) environment. This strategic move is part of Aave's broader multichain expansion strategy, aimed at increasing interoperability and DeFi composability across diverse blockchain networks.
The deployment introduces Aave's lending markets to Aptos Layer 1, integrating native assets including USDC, USDT, APT, and sUSDe with new incentives. The Aptos Foundation is supporting adoption through user rewards and liquidity incentives for participants, while Chainlink provides secure oracle integrations, marking an institutional-grade infrastructure enhancement.
Avery Ching, Co-Founder and CTO of Aptos Labs, confirmed the development, stating "Aave is progressing to deploy on Aptos," highlighting direct leadership involvement in this technological collaboration between Aave Labs and Aptos Labs.
The launch includes ongoing post-launch validation and security focus through programs like Capture the Flag, bug fixes, and monitoring infrastructure to ensure protocol stability. This transition aligns with Aave's development update for July 2025 insights, underscoring a methodical, test-driven approach to expansion.
