Linea Launches Ignition Program with 1B LINEA Token Incentives to Drive $1B TVL Growth

Linea, an Ethereum Layer 2 network, has officially launched its Ignition rewards program on September 2, 2025, aiming to boost its total value locked (TVL) by over $1 billion. The program distributes 1 billion LINEA tokens to liquidity providers participating in key DeFi pools on Aave, Euler, and Etherex. It follows a successful closed beta phase and will run until October 26, 2025.

Rewards are designed to reduce market stress and encourage efficient liquidity provision. Etherex offers higher payouts during volatile periods based on slippage and swap volume, while Aave and Euler use time-weighted vault shares and adaptive incentives to grow deposits in underutilized pools. Brevis' zero-knowledge proof technology, including its ZK Coprocessor and Pico ZKVM, ensures secure, transparent, and tamper-proof validation of all reward calculations, enhancing decentralization and trust.

Accumulated rewards are locked until October 27, 2025, when 40% become claimable. The remaining 60% unlock daily over the subsequent 45 days. This initiative is part of Linea's broader strategy to expand its DeFi footprint, following recent developments like its ecosystem airdrop snapshot in July 2025, which qualified over 780,000 wallets for 7.2 billion tokens, and pre-market trading starting in late August.
