FTX creditors will receive $1.6 billion on September 30, 2025, in the third major distribution since the exchange's collapse in November 2022. This payout brings some customer classes to near-full recovery rates, with US customer entitlement claims reaching 95% cumulative recovery.

The distribution follows strict verification requirements through the FTX Customer Portal, including KYC verification, tax form submission, and selection of payment providers (BitGo, Kraken, or Payoneer). Payments will be processed within one to three business days after the distribution date.

Recovery rates vary by creditor class under the reorganization plan's waterfall priorities. Dotcom customer entitlement claims receive an incremental 6% distribution (78% cumulative), while general unsecured claims and digital asset loan claims each receive 24% distributions (85% cumulative). Convenience class creditors (typically retail traders) receive 120% distributions, representing full recovery plus additional compensation.

The distribution is part of FTX's Chapter 11 reorganization plan that leverages over $15 billion in recovered assets, including cash reserves, clawback funds, and proceeds from asset sales such as Sam Bankman-Fried's stake in Anthropic and holdings of tokens like SOL and SUI.
