Shiba Inu Security Alert: Phishing Scam Puts SHIB Ecosystem at Risk

23.10.2025 13:09

The official Shiba Inu security channel, Susbarium, has issued a critical warning about a sophisticated phishing scam targeting holders of Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens.

The scam involves a fraudulent website that closely mimics the appearance of official Shiba Inu platforms, such as Shib.io and ShibaSwap, deceiving users into connecting their wallets under the pretense of fake promotions like presales, bonuses, and cross-chain swaps.

Once a user connects their wallet, scammers gain full access and drain all assets, including SHIB, LEASH, BONE, and TREAT tokens.

Susbarium emphasized that Shib.io is the only verified and legitimate platform for the Shiba Inu ecosystem, and users should always double-check URLs to avoid lookalike domains.

This is not an isolated incident; the Shiba Inu community has been repeatedly targeted by impersonation scams on social media, with fake accounts posing as developers like Shytoshi Kusama.

To protect against such threats, Susbarium advises users to avoid connecting wallets to unverified platforms, use tools like revoke.cash to revoke token approvals if compromised, and report phishing attempts to wallet providers.
