Tether has announced the launch of a new U.S.-regulated stablecoin, USA® (USAT), scheduled for December 2025. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enter the U.S. market, coinciding with a $775 million investment in the content platform Rumble, which boasts over 51 million active users.

The stablecoin will be issued by Anchorage Digital and complies with the GENIUS Act, aiming to strengthen the U.S. economy and position the dollar as a cornerstone in the digital asset space. Tether's CEO Paolo Ardoino emphasized the need for a "more professional and digital approach to money that can compete with PayPal and so on," highlighting the competitive shift in digital payments.

Bo Hines, CEO-Designate of Tether USA®, stated, "I am honored to lead USA® as we prepare for its launch, creating a U.S.-regulated dollar-backed stablecoin designed to strengthen America’s role in the global economy." The collaboration with Rumble will integrate crypto payment and tipping functionalities, enabling users to transact in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, potentially increasing on-chain flows and driving broader adoption.

This move is expected to inject substantial liquidity into crypto markets, influence competitor strategies in the stablecoin sector, and reinforce Tether's market dominance through regulatory compliance and innovation.
