Video-sharing platform Rumble has announced a collaboration with Tether to integrate Bitcoin tipping for its creators, a move unveiled at the Plan B Forum in Lugano, Switzerland. Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski and Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino shared the stage to detail the initiative, which aims to empower creators with direct cryptocurrency payments and enhance financial independence.

The feature is currently in testing and is scheduled for a full rollout between early and mid-December 2025. It will operate through Rumble's native wallet, allowing fans to send Bitcoin tips directly to creators, who receive instant payments without relying on high-fee traditional platforms. During a demonstration, popular content creator Viva Frei became the first to receive a Bitcoin tip on Rumble, highlighting the system's functionality.

Tether invested $775 million in Rumble in December 2024 to support this and other projects, reinforcing the partnership. Ardoino emphasized that Bitcoin and stablecoins can help creators, particularly those in emerging markets or facing censorship, avoid being "debanked" and gain more control over their earnings.

Rumble is furthering its crypto commitments by establishing a Bitcoin treasury, with current holdings of approximately $25 million (about 210.8 BTC), and collaborating with MoonPay to launch a digital wallet for users to buy, store, and send assets. The platform, which has over 51 million monthly active users, positions itself as a crypto-native alternative to YouTube, focusing on anti-censorship and creator-friendly policies. Despite Rumble's shares being down over 45% year-to-date, the company believes these crypto initiatives will strengthen its brand and attract new users seeking financial autonomy.
