Mantle, a leading distribution and liquidity layer for real-world assets (RWAs) built on Ethereum Layer 2, has announced a partnership with Anchorage Digital to deliver secure institutional custody for its native token, $MNT. Anchorage Digital, a regulated crypto platform and the first federally chartered crypto bank in the United States, will support $MNT through its custody and self-custody wallet Porto, enabling regulated financial institutions to hold the token directly on their balance sheets or treasuries.

This collaboration marks a transformative step in making Mantle's on-chain economy accessible to institutions, unlocking global participation in one of the fastest-growing Layer 2 ecosystems. $MNT serves as the governance and utility token for the Mantle network, allowing holders to engage in protocol governance, access decentralized applications, and interact with Mantle's expanding DeFi ecosystem. With over $4 billion in community-owned assets, Mantle aims to bridge traditional finance with decentralized innovation through institutional-grade infrastructure.

Emily Bao, Key Advisor to Mantle, stated, "We're excited to enable institutions to access Mantle's ecosystem through a trusted partner with a strong reputation for institutional-grade security. Global institutions can now access $MNT on Ethereum through Anchorage Digital, opening the door to broader participation in Mantle's on-chain economy." Nathan McCauley, Co-Founder and CEO of Anchorage Digital, added, "Backing the Mantle ecosystem is exactly what we were built for — giving institutions a secure, regulated way to participate in the next generation of blockchain networks."

The partnership enhances liquidity, market depth, and institutional adoption for Mantle, reinforcing $MNT's position as an institutional-ready asset and supporting the network's mission to power real-world finance flows through projects like mETH, fBTC, and collaborations with Ethena USDe and Ondo USDY.
