Pi Network Nears Mainnet Launch After Testnet 1 Achieves Near-Zero Failure Rate

Pi Network is progressing toward its Open Mainnet launch following the successful performance of Testnet 1, which demonstrated exceptional stability by processing large transaction volumes with almost no failures. According to data shared by PiNetwork DEX on X, most transactions were completed successfully or failed only once, indicating the network's robustness under real-world conditions.

Mainnet version v23 has been confirmed and is expected to launch soon, supporting both financial transactions and computational functions. This development phase includes the rollout of Pi Desktop v0.5.4, which enhances the user interface and improves bonus calculation accuracy for node operators. Testnet 2 is anticipated to follow, focusing on further stress-testing to refine features before the full Mainnet deployment.

A fast-track Know Your Customer (KYC) system has been introduced, enabling new users to verify their identities quickly and activate their wallets early. This initiative aims to broaden access and prepare over 50 million Pioneers for the ecosystem's expansion.

Additionally, Pi Network is piloting decentralized computing through the OpenMind initiative, where node operators can perform AI training and other computational tasks for third-party partners. A detailed case study on this effort is expected soon, highlighting the network's potential beyond financial applications.
