Aave Labs launched its iOS savings app on November 17, 2025, offering a base annual percentage yield of 6% with an additional 0.5% boost for automatic monthly deposits, totaling up to 6.5% APY. The app targets retail users new to decentralized finance through a simplified interface that compounds interest every second, supporting stablecoin deposits like USDC and USDT with no minimum deposit requirements—users can start with as little as $0.01.

Aave Labs founder Stani Kulechov emphasized the app's goal to expand DeFi accessibility to mainstream consumers, bridging the gap between traditional finance and blockchain. The underlying Aave protocol manages approximately $55–$56 billion in deposits, and the company acquired Stable Finance in October 2025 to accelerate product development.

In yield comparisons, Aave's returns are mid-range: Morpho protocol averages 10.43% APY, Coinbase offers up to 10.8% for USDC lending, while traditional fintech and bank savings accounts provide 4–5% APY. The app includes up to $1 million in balance protection per account, though the insurance program is not yet active, and it waives fees for bank or debit card transactions.

Availability is currently limited to iOS with a waitlist system, while Android and web versions are coming soon. Aave was authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland in November 2025, and despite AAVE's token price decline, deposits reached $73.2 billion with TVL at $41.85 billion.
