Ripple Joins Tech Giants in Funding Trump's $300M White House Ballroom Initiative

Ripple has been listed among corporate donors supporting a privately funded $300 million ballroom project at the White House, backed by Donald Trump to expand capacity for formal diplomatic events. The initiative, which plans a 90,000-square-foot venue, channels donations through the Trust for the National Mall, enabling corporate contributions without direct federal management.

Ripple is represented by lobbyist firms Ballard Partners and Priebus's firm, placing it within a core network that accounts for two-thirds of identified donors. This group includes major technology companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Apple, as well as defense contractors such as Palantir and Lockheed Martin. Corporate participants gain strategic access to high-level officials, appealing to industries seeking predictable regulatory conditions.

The Senate, led by Senator Richard Blumenthal, is reviewing the transparency of the fundraising mechanism, with at least nine letters sent to over 40 companies, including Ripple and Coinbase. While responses have been partial and contribution amounts undisclosed, the crypto industry views this engagement as an opportunity to advocate for clear, enforceable digital asset rules. Ripple, amid ongoing regulatory disputes, has intensified its lobbying efforts in 2024 and 2025 to influence standards on token classification and market compliance.
