Hardware wallet giant Ledger has announced a high-profile partnership with luxury automaker Lamborghini to create a custom, limited-edition version of its Ledger Stax device. The premium wallet, set to launch in early 2026, will feature a curved display, a secure chip, custom packaging, and a branded Magnet Folio. Ledger framed the collaboration as connecting "the pinnacle of automotive design with the highest standard of security."
The announcement underscores Ledger's focus on premium security solutions amid rising risks in the crypto space. In a related blog post, the company's Donjon research team highlighted a newly identified vulnerability in a widely used Android smartphone processor that could compromise software-based Web3 wallets if an attacker gains physical access. Ledger emphasized that its hardware wallets are not affected by this issue, using it to advocate for the security superiority of cold storage.
Separately, Ledger also announced on December 4 that users can now swap the Celo (CELO) token directly within the wallet's swap section, aiming to keep activity within its secure environment and reduce reliance on external platforms.
In a parallel development, Lamborghini is also expanding its Web3 footprint through a separate partnership with Animoca Brands. This collaboration involves the launch of a branded Bitcoin wallet and a digital collectibles platform, marking Lamborghini's official entry into the blockchain space. The initiative will integrate interoperable digital car collectibles (NFTs) within the Motorverse gaming ecosystem and Lamborghini's Fast ForWorld platform. Stefano Domenicali, CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, stated the move aims to enhance the digital ownership experience of their vehicles.
