Chorus One, a major institutional staking provider, has partnered with cryptocurrency exchange Bitget to offer staking services for the Monad (MON) blockchain. This collaboration grants Bitget's over 120 million users access to institutional-grade MON staking and restaking through Chorus One's platform.
The partnership follows the strategic launch of the Monad mainnet in November 2025. Monad is a high-throughput Layer 1 blockchain that maintains compatibility with Ethereum smart contracts without requiring code modifications. The integration is designed to lower the barrier to entry for staking, with the stated goal of helping the Monad validator set grow in "decentralization, stability, and geographic diversity."
The initiative has seen rapid early adoption, with more than $6 million in MON tokens staked within the first week of the program's launch. Chorus One, which secures over $3.5 billion in staked assets across more than 30 blockchains and holds ISO 27001 security certification, provides flexible staking terms. The Monad chain itself allows users to unstake assets in approximately 5.5 hours.
The companies highlighted that a key objective of the partnership is to drive cryptocurrency adoption in emerging markets, particularly in the Asia-Pacific and African regions where both firms are active. Chorus One has previously partnered with the Avalanche Foundation to expand validator infrastructure in Africa.
