ICP, LINK, and NEAR Lead Santiment's AI & Big Data Development Rankings

Blockchain analytics platform Santiment has released its latest 30-day analysis of open-source development, ranking leading AI-oriented cryptocurrency networks by engineering output. The data, gathered from verified GitHub repositories, measures real code contributions to highlight teams delivering consistent updates. Internet Computer (ICP), Chainlink (LINK), and NEAR Protocol (NEAR) occupy the top three positions in the current development cycle.

The DFINITY Foundation detailed several ICP ecosystem updates for December 2025, with a major focus on AI integration, interoperability, and security enhancements. The protocol has secured institutional partnerships with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, bringing blockchain-based workflows into enterprise environments. Recent integrations with platforms like Facebook, Instagram, WordPress, and Caffeine are aimed at broadening the network's application areas.

Chainlink leads in development activity, with the oracle services provider announcing 14 new integrations across five services and 11 blockchains last week. New Layer-1 integrations include Bitcoin, Solana, Tron, and Aptos, while new Layer-2 integrations span Arbitrum, Base, and Avalanche. A key development is Chainlink enabling a new bridge connecting Solana with Coinbase's Base network using its native Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to boost liquidity. Additionally, Kamino Finance integrated Chainlink's data streams for tokenizing equities like TSLA and META.

NEAR Protocol is also advancing on the AI front. On December 4, the NEAR Foundation introduced NEAR AI Cloud and Private Chat, tools designed to deliver verifiable privacy for AI applications. These are already integrated into Brave Nightly, OpenMind AGI, and Phala Network, potentially reaching over 100 million users. In a separate development, NEAR Foundation and Marg Finance jointly launched NEAR 20, an institutional-grade yield product targeting a 20% APY through AI-driven options strategies.

Santiment's full top 10 list for AI & Big Data projects includes Oasis Protocol (ROSE), Filecoin (FIL), Livepeer (LPT), Recall (RECALL), The Graph (GRT), iExec RLC (RLC), and Injective (INJ), all showing steady development activity. The firm plans to publish an expanded quarterly review soon, offering comparisons across AI, DePIN, and data-infrastructure sectors.
