Revolut Integrates TRON for In-App Staking and Fast Stablecoin Transfers in Europe

Fintech giant Revolut has integrated the TRON blockchain into its platform, enabling its European customers to stake TRX tokens directly through the app and access faster stablecoin transfers. The integration is designed to remove the technical barriers typically associated with on-chain staking while allowing users to participate in TRON's governance model without paying a platform fee.

Beyond staking, the partnership focuses on leveraging TRON's infrastructure for fast, low-cost cross-border payments, with settlement times often taking just seconds. TRON has established itself as a major network for stablecoin circulation, processing significant daily transfer volumes. Revolut aims to utilize this infrastructure to enhance its remittance services.

A key component of the integration is a planned 1:1 conversion feature between traditional fiat currencies and major stablecoins running on the TRON network. This move is intended to eliminate the spread discrepancies that usually occur when bridging traditional finance with blockchain systems, positioning Revolut as a gateway between mainstream bank accounts and blockchain-based payments.

Revolut executives, including crypto lead Emil Urmanshin, have indicated that Europe's regulatory clarity under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework has facilitated such partnerships between fintech apps and blockchain networks. The deal is described as part of an effort to dissolve geographical barriers in financial services through scalable blockchain infrastructure.

Industry observers suggest this collaboration could serve as a template for regulated digital asset services in Europe, as traditional financial institutions seek compliant ways to onboard users into blockchain ecosystems.
