MicroStrategy has announced its most significant Bitcoin acquisition since July 2025, purchasing 10,645 BTC for approximately $980.3 million between December 8 and December 14. The company paid an average price of $92,124 per Bitcoin, financing the purchase through proceeds from at-the-market (ATM) equity offerings.

This latest purchase slightly exceeds the company's previous week's buy of 10,624 BTC, valued at around $963 million, which occurred between December 1 and December 7. With this addition, MicroStrategy's total Bitcoin holdings now stand at 671,268 BTC, solidifying its position as the largest publicly traded corporate holder of the cryptocurrency.

Despite this substantial institutional accumulation, the price of Bitcoin has remained below the psychologically significant $90,000 threshold. In a recent statement, CEO Fong Lee addressed the company's long-term strategy, affirming that "Bitcoin remains a core part of Strategy’s long-term plan." However, Lee also indicated a degree of flexibility, noting that the company would not rule out selling some of its Bitcoin holdings in the event of a prolonged crypto market downturn.
