Husky Inu (HINU) has completed its latest pre-launch price hike, reaching $0.00023840. The project's pre-launch phase, which began on April 1, 2025, follows the conclusion of its presale. The team states that regular price increases are designed to support the community and reward existing token holders. The primary goal of this phase is to secure capital for platform improvements, marketing, and ecosystem development.
However, fundraising has slowed considerably, with the project having raised a total of $905,549 to date. It crossed the $750,000 milestone on May 16, $800,000 on June 15, $850,000 in July, and $900,000 in October. The official launch date remains under review, with the team not ruling out an adjustment. Two review meetings have been held on July 1 and October 1, 2025, and a third is scheduled for January 1, 2026.
Concurrently, the broader cryptocurrency market experienced a sharp sell-off. Investors reduced exposure to risk assets ahead of key U.S. economic data releases, triggering a broad decline. The market downturn pushed the Crypto Fear & Greed Index into "extreme fear" territory at a reading of 11.
Bitcoin (BTC), which had traded above $90,000 earlier in the week, fell below $86,000, hitting a low of $85,337 before recovering slightly to around $86,104, marking a decline of over 4%. Ethereum (ETH) saw a larger drop, falling over 6% and slipping below the key $3,000 level to trade around $2,929.
The sell-off was widespread, with major altcoins registering substantial losses over 24 hours: Ripple (XRP) fell almost 6% to $1.87, Solana (SOL) dropped nearly 5% to around $125, and Dogecoin (DOGE) declined 5.48% to $0.128. Cardano (ADA), Chainlink (LINK), Stellar (XLM), Hedera (HBAR), Toncoin (TON), Litecoin (LTC), and Polkadot (DOT) also posted significant declines.
Total market liquidations reached $583 million, predominantly from long positions. The global cryptocurrency market capitalization contracted by nearly 4% to $2.94 trillion, while 24-hour trading volume increased by 27% to $119 billion.
