THORChain has officially launched the public beta of its dedicated decentralized exchange (DEX) interface, swap.thorchain.org, marking a significant step toward seamless, trustless cross-chain trading. The platform, announced on December 23rd, 2025, is designed as the protocol's primary front-end, enabling users to swap native digital assets directly between major blockchains without relying on wrapped tokens, bridges, or centralized exchanges.
The interface supports direct swaps between native assets on Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Tron, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Avalanche, and Cosmos networks. Key features of the beta release include universal wallet compatibility (allowing swaps of BTC, ETH, XRP, BNB, TRX, DOGE, BCH, LTC, AVAX, and ATOM with any self-custody wallet), optional wallet connection for placing swaps, a fully open-source architecture, and a streamlined user experience aimed at minimizing friction.
The development is positioned as infrastructure for the broader DeFi community, with the goal of driving transaction volume directly to the THORChain protocol while giving the team control over user experience and routing logic. The current beta phase allows early users to test the platform and provide feedback ahead of a planned official launch in Q1 2026.
Future roadmap enhancements include expanded support for thousands of additional tokens across multiple chains, an improved user interface with better onboarding, and the integration of additional THORChain protocol features like bonding and liquidity providing. The platform is available immediately via any standard web browser.
