MINGO, a digital infrastructure company, has announced the launch of its digital ticketing platform, MINGO Tickets, alongside a major expansion across 54 countries. The platform is built on the Hedera network and aims to address persistent issues in the live event industry, including ticket fraud, duplication, high fees, and poor fan experiences.
The core of the announcement is a strategic partnership with African Boxing and the Yucateco Boxing League to roll out the ticketing solution across Africa, supporting live events in one of the world's fastest-growing sports markets. The platform is designed as a progressive web app, requiring no downloads, and leverages Hedera's enterprise-grade infrastructure for speed, security, sustainability, and predictable fees.
Joe Arthur, CEO of Mingo, stated, "As live events scale globally, the systems behind them need to scale too. MINGO Tickets is about improving access, reducing fraud, and giving organisers a platform they can rely on, while keeping the experience simple for fans. Expanding across 54 countries is a major step in proving that this model works."
Hon. Omonlei Yakubu Imadu, CEO of Yucateco Boxing Promotions, hailed the partnership as transformative for African sports, calling MINGO "the operating system for the future of our sport" that integrates ticketing, fighter payments, and fan engagement. Kevin Noone of the WBC Asian Boxing Council also endorsed the move, highlighting its importance for making events more accessible while protecting sport integrity.
The rollout marks the first phase of MINGO's wider international expansion, with future developments focused on improving access and reducing friction for global event organizers and fans.
