Pi Network has launched a new social entertainment application called TokPi, which has officially joined the Pi ecosystem. The app brings TikTok-style short videos, live streaming, real-time chat, and digital gifts directly to the Pi Browser. It is fully built inside Pi Network and connects directly with the Pi Wallet for seamless transactions.
TokPi allows users to watch content creators, send digital gifts using Pi cryptocurrency, chat in real-time, and explore trending content. The application supports 10 languages and runs smoothly inside the Pi Browser with a clean, modern design. For many Pi Network Pioneers, TokPi represents the first genuine entertainment app built specifically for the Pi ecosystem.
Simultaneously, Pi Network has rolled out a powerful new development tool called "Add Pi SDK" within Pi App Studio. This feature allows developers to connect their applications directly with Pi's core infrastructure. With the Pi SDK, developers can integrate Pi payments, Pi Wallet login functionality, Mainnet conversion tools, blockchain interactions, and advanced security features into their applications.
This development marks a crucial milestone for the Pi Network ecosystem, transforming Pi from a network into a comprehensive Web3 platform. Applications utilizing the Pi SDK are expected to gain better visibility within the Pi ecosystem and reach millions of Pioneers.
Pi Network also provided an update on its supply distribution: Total Pi on mainnet is approximately 8.38 billion, with about 4.83 billion Pi locked and 3.55 billion Pi unlocked. The maximum supply remains 100 billion Pi. The significant amount of locked Pi reduces short-term selling pressure and maintains a lower circulation than the total supply suggests, which helps protect the ecosystem as applications like TokPi grow and real demand builds.
The launch of TokPi and the Pi SDK represents Pi Network's push into its "real economy" phase, characterized by real applications, real users, and genuine use cases beyond mining.
