Mantle, a high-performance distribution and liquidity layer, has officially concluded the submission phase of its 2025 Global Hackathon. The event, which ran from October 22, 2025, recorded 519 project submissions from over 2,044 registered developers, achieving a notable 25.4% conversion rate that significantly outperforms the typical industry average of 10–15%.
The hackathon's success was driven by collaboration with partners OpenBuild and HackQuest, alongside a global network of ecosystem supporters. Strategic initiatives included targeted online workshops and offline meetups in tech hubs like Shenzhen and Shanghai, as well as builder engagement sessions across India, Indonesia, Africa, and South America to uncover localized innovation in DeFi, Real-World Assets (RWA), and consumer payments.
An analysis of the participant base revealed a sophisticated, multi-chain talent pool. While 550 participants were Ethereum-native, significant builder segments joined from other major ecosystems: Solana (274), Base (229), and Polygon (172). In terms of skills, developers primarily utilized JavaScript (62.05%), TypeScript (56.89%), and Solidity (32.34%). Project submissions were led by the RWA/RealFi sector (22.21%) and DeFi (21.79%), followed by AI, Infrastructure, and GameFi.
The event also featured strategic partnerships and digital identity initiatives. Core partner OpenBuild contributed 124 registrations and 45 high-quality projects. The DevCard initiative, launched with Web3insight.AI, saw 196 developers activate on-chain identities, leading to 47 teams receiving direct collaboration invitations.
The road ahead leads to Demo Day on February 3-4, 2026, where 30 finalists will compete for a share of the $150,000 prize pool. This includes a $30,000 Grand Prize and track-specific awards. Projects will be judged on technical innovation, commercial viability, and ecosystem alignment. The final winners will be announced on February 10 at Consensus Hong Kong. Beyond the prize money, winners will gain fast-track access to Mantle EcoFund grants and long-term incubation support.
Mantle's ecosystem, anchored by its $MNT token, boasts over $4 billion in community-owned assets and partners with leading protocols like Ethena USDe, Ondo USDY, and OP-Succinct to bridge traditional finance with on-chain liquidity and real-world assets.
